I am Aren Christianson, and I was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am centre back who is currently playing for Rivers Football Club in League1 British Columbia and will be attending Thompson Rivers University in the Fall of 2024 where I will play for the Wolfpack in the Canada West Conference of U Sports.
Both of my parents played varsity sports in college, and while soccer is my passion, their experiences with high performance athletics have shown me that hard work and dedication is needed to succeed both on the field of play and in the classroom. I am a focused and high achieving student athlete. In my spare time I enjoy travel, trail running, and skiing.
Soccer has been an important part of my life since I can remember, and I believe that it brings out the best qualities in me. I have been blessed with size and natural ability that I plan to use to fulfill my dreams to play soccer at both the university and professional level.
I play soccer for the rush that I receive when, as a central defender, I shut down a high scoring striker. I play for the confidence that I gain when I pass the ball out from the back under pressure. I play soccer because it requires both mental toughness and physical skills to succeed; I play soccer because it is a team sport where everyone overcomes failures and succeeds as a unit.
My faith, family and soccer inspire me to achieve my best each and every day!
